Vibration Is Power — My Learnings from Mingyur Rinpoche
The Monk Moment: The Power of Our Vibration
There’s a memory that’s been resurfacing — one that feels like a seed planted years ago that has finally begun to bloom.
When I was living in Los Angeles, I went to a talk between Sam Harris and the Tibetan meditation master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Before they began speaking, Mingyur invited the audience into a short meditation.
The moment he opened his mouth, the entire room shifted.
A hush fell over hundreds of people, as if a single breath had passed through us all. My body softened, my mind quieted, and I felt myself dissolve into something vast and still. When I opened my eyes, I saw it mirrored everywhere — a shared peace that was almost electric.
At the time, I thought, it’s because we’re in the presence of the monk.
But years later, I see it differently.
The Frequency of Presence
Mingyur Rinpoche’s laugh still echoes in my memory — bright, contagious, disarming. He spoke about his own lifelong journey with panic and anxiety, and how, through years of meditation, he learned not to fight his fear but to welcome it. To breathe with it. To love it.
Through that acceptance, his nervous system reorganized into coherence. His energy field became stable, clear, radiant.
That night, his vibration held the room. Not through words, but through frequency.
He wasn’t giving us peace — he was being peace, and our bodies remembered what that felt like. His coherence awakened our own.
The True Source of Power
What I now understand is that the true power anyone holds is not over others — it is the power of their vibration.
Our energy field is a living broadcast of our consciousness. Every thought, every emotion, every heartbeat sends a frequency into the collective field. When we are in alignment — mind, body, and heart in harmony — the world around us subtly reorganizes in response.
That monk didn’t do anything to us. He simply was, and his beingness rearranged the entire room.
That’s the essence of mastery: to embody the vibration you wish to see reflected in the world.
From Transmission to Embodiment
During a recent sound bath I led, that LA memory came back in a wave of recognition.
As the bowls sang, I could feel the same unified stillness in the room — that same field of peace pulsing through every breath.
And in that moment, I realized: I’ve become what I once experienced.
Through sound, through presence, through love, I was now the one holding the frequency. The seed that was planted in that auditorium had matured. It was never about learning how to do it — it was about remembering that the vibration I carry is the transmission.
This is what sound healing really is — a remembering of coherence.
The Great Awakening
We are in the midst of a global awakening — a shift in human consciousness unlike anything before. Systems are dissolving. Old identities are crumbling. Many are being called inward, guided by the quiet knowing that there’s more to life than what the mind can measure.
As the planet rises in frequency, every being is being invited to attune — to choose awareness over reaction, love over fear, presence over distraction.
In this time, each of us becomes a node in the web of awakening. The vibration we embody ripples far beyond what we can see. A calm heart stabilizes chaos. A coherent field amplifies peace. A single moment of stillness changes the geometry of consciousness.
The more we remember our own vibration, the more we help the collective remember too.
The Invitation
Whether you’re sitting in meditation, lying in a sound bath, or simply walking through your day — notice your frequency.
Notice what your body transmits when you breathe with awareness.
Notice how the space around you responds when you choose stillness.
Power isn’t control.
Power is vibration.
And vibration is what we are.
We are remembering now.
Together.
